Product Review: Spoontiques Positive Affirmations Ceramic Travel Mug
I love my tea. It’s part of my daily routine and I have a cup every night while I unwind from the day. This includes on trips and adventures, regardless of where we are. I’m also allergic to most BPA free plastic (corn) and I hate the taste of tea out of a stainless mug. So, instead of carrying around one of our tiny coffee cups, I decided to invest in a ceramic travel mug.
After spending way too much time reading reviews on Amazon, I decided to go with the Spoontiques Positive Affirmations Ceramic Travel Mug.
I picked this particular travel mug for a few reasons:
- It has a handle, which will allow me to safely handle it after I put boiling water in it.
- It has a lid, which will keep me from spilling hot tea all over myself.
- It’s dishwasher safe. Not really an issue when traveling but at home I curse any dish that is not.
- It is covered in positive affirmations, which I love, so all else equal, this is a bonus for sure!
Upon arrival, I checked out the mug and was immediately impressed by the heftiness of it. It feels solid and like it would take a lot to shatter it. I haven’t dropped it yet (trust me, I will), so I can’t say for sure but I’m confident it would handle being dropped in the car or grass. I also checked to see if it would fit in my car cup holders and it does! Major bonus there.
I’ve used it twice while camping, and I can say it keeps my tea hot as long as a mug at home would. So while it won’t keep tea or coffee hot long term, you’ll get a good 20 minutes out of it. That’s plenty of time for me.
So my overall opinion is that I love my ceramic travel mug. It’s hefty, well thought out, dishwasher safe, has a spill proof lid, fits in my car and reminds me to take care of myself first, to be a better person and to look on the bright side of things. Would more could you ask for in a mug?
